We are thankful to have been taking a little time to slow down a bit after a not-so-quiet winter that never really materialised. Time to recharge the batteries a little and to think ahead to the coming season. Piglets and chicks will be here towards the end of April and spring is springing although there is, of course, time for winter to reappear before we say our final goodbyes. Plans are being hatched and help is being hired to continue on our journey to make Little Ghent Farm fully productive again.

The store will be re-opening again on Thursday March 24th in time for Easter weekend with bread available again on Friday 25th. We are offering some delicious Easter or spring time treats to help if you have guests for the holiday. We will be baking hot cross buns and also making a breakfast bake or a fritatta to make Easter brunch easier. There will be meringues, chocolate and lemon cakes and other goodies. Eggs are, of course, the order of the day and the ladies have been busy laying eggs that don’t even need colouring they are so beautiful. We also have pork loin roasts, hams and all the usual breakfast essentials, including several kinds of bacon and sausages. Let us know if you want us to put anything aside, also please try and pre order bread as it will almost certainly be busy.

 

Farm store hours remain Thursday – Sunday 9.00 – 5.00 for a while longer.

Bread available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
